For Parents Who Want Their Teen to Feel Understood

You see your teen trying to find their place in the world

Adolescence is a time of growth, self-discovery, and sometimes uncertainty. Teens may be questioning who they are, where they belong, and how to express themselves. Many parents want to support their teen but aren’t always sure how.

I want them to feel confident in who they are.

You want your teen to feel secure in themselves and comfortable expressing who they are becoming.

I want to support them, but I have questions.

Parents often want guidance and reassurance as they support their teen through identity development and emotional challenges.

I want them to feel strong and supported.

Every teen deserves a place where they feel understood, accepted, and encouraged as they grow.

About the Group

A guided space for teens to explore identity and belonging

Affirming the Mosaic is a small, professionally facilitated support group for teens who are exploring identity, self-expression, gender, sexuality, and belonging.

In a calm and supportive setting, teens meet with peers who may be navigating similar questions. Through conversation, shared experiences, and guided discussion, participants gain confidence, strengthen resilience, and develop tools to help them navigate relationships, stress, and social pressure.

The goal is simple: to create a space where teens feel safe showing up as themselves.

Led by licensed clinicians

This group is facilitated by experienced clinicians who specialize in adolescent development and identity exploration.

Participants benefit from:

  • Professional guidance from licensed mental health clinicians

  • A structured group format that encourages open conversation

  • Supportive peer connection in a respectful environment

  • Tools for navigating relationships, identity, and social pressures

What Teens Gain

Belonging, resilience, and room to be themselves

Each week, teens build skills and connection that support their wellbeing both inside and outside the group.

Connection with peers

Teens meet others who may be asking similar questions. Building community reduces isolation and helps teens realize they’re not alone.

Confidence in self-expression

Participants build confidence in expressing themselves and communicating their thoughts, feelings, and identity.

Stronger emotional resilience

Teens learn practical ways to handle stress, social pressure, and difficult situations while staying grounded in who they are.

Tools for handling stress and relationships

Participants develop skills for navigating friendships, family dynamics, and social environments with greater confidence.

Feeling understood and supported

Simply having a place where teens feel seen and heard can make a powerful difference during this stage of life.
